iain_on_farmIain Piggot Iain joined the practice in 1972 and has worked as a mixed practitioner and partner within the Practice over the last 30 years. He has developed a huge amount of knowledge and expertise in the management of both the veterinary practice and farms over the years. He is a well respected vet, member of the British Cattle Vet Association and actively involved in both day-to-day farm work and advisory work.

pete_on_farm_croppedPeter Orpin joined the practice in 1984, worked in New Zealand for a year in 1987 and became a partner in 1989. Peter had devoted much of his working life to preventive health approaches on farms. Peter became involved with the British Cattle Veterinary Association during the 1990’s, is a past president of the Association and Health Planning Tutor for BCVA. In 2003 he helped develop the Disease Cost Calculator tool for the BCVA health planner. Peter is well-known within the profession and the farming industry.

tracey_on_farmTracy Bainbridge joined the practice in 2000 and worked as a mixed practitioner in the farm and small animal teams until 2004, when she worked in New Zealand, gaining valueable knowledge on farming abroad. Tracy returned in May 2005 as an Associate in the Park Veterinary Group, to work within the expanded farm team. Tracy is a very cheerful and valuable asset of the Practice with an ability both to work hard and enjoy her working life at the practice. Tracy Joined the partnership at The Park Veterinary Group in May 2007.  Tracy gained her Certificate in Cattle Health and Production in September 2010.

Natalie GrangerNatalie Gilbert joined the practice in 2002 and has made a great impression with our farmers from the outset. Her combination of common sense, clear explanations and good quality work has impressed us all. In late 2005 she left to spend a year treating farm and small animals in Australia and New Zealand (surgical successes including repair of a Koala's fractured leg!). She returned to the Practice in December 2006, based at Scraptoft Lane, as a small animal and farm vet. Natalie became an associate at the The Park Veterinary Group in May 2007.

wendy_on_farmWendy Bottrill is local to the area. Wendy joined the profession as a mature student after working within the Animal Health section of MAFF. Wendy is vital part of the team providing both practical on farm advice, health planning, mastitis advisory work and regular veterinary work. Wendy is an Associate within the practice and is highly committed to working within the Park Veterinary Group.

charlie_on_farm_croppedCharlie Wright graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2008 after completing an Animal Science Degree at Edinburgh University in 2003. After a short time in mixed practice in Kent, Charlie returned home to Leicestershire. As both a day and an out-of-hours farm vet, Charlie is regularly involved in routine fertility work, TB-testing, calvings, caesareans and treatment of sick farm animals. She is also our pig and poultry specialist.

no_image_availableVicky Strong grew up in Leicester, spent many years with us a vet student and then graduated from the University of Liverpool in July 2010. She has also attained a degree in Veterinary Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College in London. She started working for us in August 2010 and is based at the Whetstone surgery as part of both the Small and Farm Animal teams. Outside work, she enjoys travelling and in the past, this has entailed working with wildlife and performing veterinary duties in SE Asia and South Africa.

jayne_on_farm_croppedJane Yeates (Out-of-hours Farm Vet) has worked within the Practice for over 20 years as a mixed practioner. This has allowed her to develop a good sound knowledge of farm and small animal work. Jane has one of the best success rates for Caesarean Sections within the farm team! She became an associate at the The Park Veterinary Group in June 2007.

gareth_on_farmGareth Jones (Out-of-hours Farm Vet) joined the practice in the early 1980’s. He worked as mixed practitioner at that stage before specialising in ophthalmology at London. Gareth returned to the Practice as a partner in 1999 and is keen follower of football. Gareth provides emergency support for the farm practice and also specialist advice on eye problems.

andy_on_farm_croppedAndrew Radley (Out-of-hours Farm Vet) joined the Park Veterinary Group in 1985 as a locum and never left! He initially started life as a mixed practitioner combining farm work with an expanding small animal workload. He became a partner in 1993 and his main responsibility now lies with the small animal clinic at Glenfield. He does however take a share of in the out of hours emergency rota so you might see him from time to time in the dead of the night!

Tudor_on_farm_croppedTudor Lloyd (Out-of-hours Farm Vet) is our 6 foot 4 inch Scotsman who adds physical presence to the farm team! Tudor worked as a first-line farm vet for 3 years, worked abroad in Hong Kong and then returned as a partner to the Park Veterinary Group in 2003. Tudor provides a combination of practical experience and back up to the farm team during the day and night.

Sat: 8am-12 noon *

*Scraptoft Lane open 8am to 10am. Saffron Lane and Braunstone closed on Saturdays. Braunstone is open 8am to 12.30 on Wednesdays. All telephone calls outside opening hours will be forwarded to the Emergency Service at Glenfield.
