Iain Piggot graduated from Glasgow in 1972 and joined the practice straight from university, having worked there as a student. He formed a partnership with David Beynon in 1975 and has developed the practice into the largest in Leicestershire. He has worked as an experienced mixed practitioner and partner over the last 30 years. In his spare time he enjoys watching rugby.
Tracy Bainbridge joined the practice in 2000 and joined the partnership in May 2007. In 2004 she expanded her experience by working in New Zealand for a year, before rejoining the practice in May 2005. She is based at our Braunstone surgery and is also involved in our farm practice. She enjoys hockey and swimming outside work.
Hilary Gates qualified from Bristol University in 1984 and joined the practice in 1989. She works part time at our Glenfield and Braunstone Town surgeries. She brings practical experience in all aspects of small animal work and regularly helps out at our other branches.
Tudor Lloyd worked for the practice from 1995-2000, in the Saffron Lane, Braunstone Town and Farm practices. For two years he worked in a busy hospital in Hong Kong and rural practice in France before rejoining the Partnership as an experienced general practitioner in July 2003.
Rachael Mort graduated from Glasgow University in 2006 and worked in mixed practice in Yorkshire for eighteen months. She joined the Park Veterinary Group in January 2008 and is particularly interested in small animal medicine.
Vicky Haslingden qualified from Cambridge University in 2007 and joined the Park Veterinary Group in 2010. She has worked as a small animal vet at all the branches but has now happiily settled at out Whetstone practice. Outside work Vicky enjoys horse riding, running and socialising.
Vicky Strong grew up in Leicester, spent many years with us a vet student and then graduated from the University of Liverpool in July 2010. She has also attained a degree in Veterinary Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College in London. She started working for us in August 2010 and is based at the Whetstone surgery as part of both the Small and Farm Animal teams. Outside work, she enjoys travelling and in the past, this has entailed working with wildlife and performing veterinary duties in SE Asia and South Africa.

Natalie Gilbert qualified from London University. She joined the practice in 2002 and worked as a mixed practitioner at our Braunstone surgery. In late 2005 she left to spend a year treating farm and small animals in Australia and New Zealand (surgical successes including repair of a Koala's fractured leg!). She returned to the practice in December 2006, based at Scraptoft Lane, as a small animal and farm vet. Natalie became an associate at the The Park Veterinary Group in May 2007.
Wieneke Bluekens graduated from the University of Utrecht, Holland, in 1986, and joined us in 1989. Wieneke is based at the Saffron Lane surgery and at our emergency service (V.E.T.S.) in Glenfield.
Caroline Hudson qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1999 and has worked in small animal practice since then, mostly based around Hampshire. In 2007 Caroline moved back up to Rutland which is where she grew up. Caroline works at the Scraptoft Lane and Glenfield surgeries.
Jane Yeates has worked in the practice for over 20 years and is very experienced in all aspects of small animal work. Jane is based in our Saffron Lane surgery but also helps out in the farm team and has one of the best success rates for Caesareans within the farm team! Jane became an associate in June 2007.
Gareth Jones joined the practice straight from Liverpool University in 1986. After a trip round the world and 3 years at London University teaching ophthalmology, he returned to the practice as a partner in 1996. Gareth accepts eye referrals from surrounding practices and has interests in business management. He is also a keen follower of football and cricket and supports Everton FC.
Charlotte (Charlie) Wright graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2008 and after a short time in mixed practice in Kent joined the Park Veterinary Group in June 2009 as a mixed practitioner. She spent her first two years at the Whetstone Surgery but has recently moved to join the team at our Saffron Lane Surgery. Her farm interest means that she is also able to offer practical advice on the more unusual pets we encounter including pet pigs and chickens.
Andrew Radley qualified from Bristol University in 1984 and joined the practice in 1985. He initially started life as a mixed practitioner combining farm work with an expanding small animal workload. He became a partner in 1993. His main responsibilities are the small animal clinic at Glenfield and our emergency service that is based there. He also has a particular interest in dermatology. Outside work he is a keen gardener and sportsman.
Alison Watson graduated from Cambridge University in 1992 and joined the practice in 1999. She is interested in all aspects of small animal practice and has a special interest in small animal cardiology. She regularly provides veterinary care for the Leicester Animal Aid Rescue Charity in Huncote. In her spare time she is a keen actress and active sportswoman - successfully completing the 2005 London Marathon.
Chris Morris graduated from Bristol in 2001 and worked in North Wales for two and a half years and Warwickshire for eighteen months before joining the Park Veterinary Group Whetstone team in 2005. He achieved his Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in September 2009 and has a particular interest in orthopaedics including arthroscopy. Chris became a partner at the The Park Veterinary Group in May 2011.
Mark Smith graduated from Edinburgh University in 1990 and joined the practice in 1991. After a trip to Australia and a residency at Glasgow University he achieved his Certificates in Small Animal Surgery and Radiology. He returned to the practice in 1996 and became an associate partner. Mark accepts referrals from other practices in both surgery (particularly soft tissue), and diagnostic imaging. In his spare time he has gained a further degree in astrophysics.
Helen Hague qualified from Edinburgh University. After eighteen months in general practice she worked for a charity organisation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She joined the practice in 2006 and has an interest in exotic animals medicine. Helen became an associate in July 2011.
Sam Dayman graduated from Cambridge in 2007 having attended a two week Game Capture course in South Africa in her final year. She worked for a small animal practice in Warwickshire before joining The Park Vet Group in October 2009 and enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. Outside of work she enjoys badminton and skiing, and hopes to complete the Coniston Challenge with fellow colleagues in September 2011.
