About Whetstone

surgery_page_whetstoneThe Whetsone surgery is one of the larger clinics and has 6 vets, 6 nurses and 4 receptionists ready to look after your pets. The surgery is fully equipped to provide the very best of care and treatment for you and your pet.

The Farm department is also based at the Whetstone practice, so, don’t be surprised if you see a farm animal in the car park!

The Whetstone surgery is also the hub of the management activities for the whole of the Park Vet Group practice.

The small animal side of the Park Vet Group operates from 4 surgeries. Four of these are stand-alone clinics of 3-8 vets each, and one is a dedicated branch surgery for consulting and routine operations.

The four main surgeries are self-sufficient for all routine first opinion work and have their own fixed veterinary teams, promoting continuity for clients, and also for the vets the opportunity to work in a small close-knit unit, but with the back-up and expertise that you only get from a multi-person practice.

puppy2Throughout the practice we have veterinary expertise in dermatology and cardiology, and RCVS Advanced Veterinary Practitioners in Ophthalmology, Surgery and Emergency and Critical Care. We are a registered Nurse Training Practice and tier 3 MRCVS accredited.

There is a strong ethos within the Park Vet Group to encourage continual professional development (CPD) which is on-going training to ensure that we are up to date with the most modern information and techniques. This benefits our staff, our clients and most importantly, our patients.
