Small Animal Surgical Vacancy – Certificate Holder (or working towards) Required

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and expand our progressive first opinion and referral practice. You will join a friendly and enthusiastic team of vets (including seven certificate holders) and nurses (including a surgical diploma holder) as part of a longstanding referral service, backed up by a dedicated first opinion team and our own on-site OOH service.
You will be based in our busy Tier 3 hospital joining experienced referral surgeons in driving the referral service forward in both Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic disciplines. As one of the referral surgeons, you will be expected to manage both an internal and external referral caseload, to aid/teach other vets within the practice and to assist in delivering external CPD to local referring practices. A small amount of first opinion work may be required with this being flexible in nature.

We have all the usual kit including CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, a range of endoscopes, ASIF and Synthes kits, TPLO/TTA, arthroscopy, Biomedtrix THR kits, and visiting MRI.
The package includes a 4 day week, 1:4 Sat am (1st Opinion) and 1:15 Sundays (1st Opinion, paid extra and with a bonus), rare Bank holidays (paid extra and with a bonus) generous CPD allowance, 22 days holiday, birthday off work, private health care VDS/RCVS fees paid and a salary commensurate with experience.
Non-certificate holders who are experienced will be considered as training can be provided

We have a vacancy for a small animal vet to join our experienced team at the Glenfield Hospital branch of our practice.
You should have a minimum of one years’ experience as a small animal vet. The surgery is staffed with veterinary surgeons, referral surgeons, qualified nurses, student and trainee nurses and our dedicated receptionists.

The practice is well established, providing veterinary care. We pride ourselves on offering a caring professional service to our clients and their pets. The premises are modern with up to date equipment and has the support of a night team to take care of the out of hours. The post is 4 days a week with a Saturday cover of 1:4 – 8:30 – 14:00 1;16 full Saturday and one in 15; full day Sunday (very experienced vets only);

Excellent, negotiable, package includes Private Medical Insurance, CPD allowance, & pension contribution.
