The Park Vet Group Team is driven to improve health.
A good day at the PVG is when we help our clients deliver real improvements in the health of their livestock. We closely work with our farmers to firstly improve the health platform for the herd. designed for your herd.
Health Plan
You can only create a sustainable and profitable farm by building solid foundations with a robust health program.
he combination of experienced dedicated vets and health management programs (Myhealthyherd, Total Vet, Interherd +) allow us to clearly understand where the profit opportunities are for the herd and how best to tackle them.
Increasingly more of our time is now spent on training, education, planning for health to deliver real improvements in farm margins.
The original base of the Practice was in farm and equine work and dates back to the early 1900’s when it was run by a single person.
The Practice has a fully stocked and separate farm pharmacy with dedicated staff trained and competent to deal with your phone queries.
All vets and farm support staff know our farmers and are able to deliver what we think is an excellent, friendly farm veterinary service, for your individual requirements.
The farm service is very much a team effort delivering you a quality service 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Our Aims are simple...
To improve health - That’s it basically!
We achieve this by a combination of approaches – experienced vets who can work out health problems, farmer continuing education to keep our farmers up to date and behind the scenes work analysing records and data.
Healthy livestock.. are profitable livestock!
All our vets are kept up to date by attending vet conferences or by speaking at meetings. This is to ensure that farmers are provided with the best service possible.
Farmers’ Support
The main contacts farmers are our trained and dedicated farm support team at the Whetstone Surgery, Anne, Jo and Carole. They are best placed to deal with your queries and book the calls.
Anne is responsible for the co-ordination of over 20 vets work and is responsible for the smooth running of the farm team. Jo is responsible for the Interherd Health and Fertility recording service we provide for our farmers and keeps our vets in order making sure they get all their paperwork out on time!
Carole is our Human Resources Manager who also provides support to the farm team.
The Park Vets work as a team to provide the best service to our farmer clients. The team approach means that all the vets are involved with most of the clients.
A large proportion of our work is now regular pre-planned work on farms working with farmers to improve the health and profits of the farm.
Farmers committing to regular pre planned health work have the luxury of 2 dedicated farm vets which helps provide continuity throughout the year.
We see our farmer clients as friends as well as clients and constantly seek to improve our service to meet the every challenging needs of our farmers.
