At Park Vet Group we have our own referrals department, where more complex cases including injuries and operations can be handled by our highly experienced team. Ivan Filipovic is one of our Orthopeadic surgeons based at our Glenfield site.
Ivan graduated in 2010 from the University of Zagreb in Croatia. He spent his first 5 years practising as a mixed animal veterinary surgeon in Croatia, before moving to Ireland where he spent the following 2 years in a mixed animal practice, and enrolled in a postgraduate certificate programme in small animal surgery.
Ivan moved to the UK 3 years ago, and has been working in small animal practice ever since. In 2018. he was awarded a postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery (PgC SAS) from Harper-Adams University, Edgmond.
Ivan's main interest is orthopaedics, with a particular focus on fracture repair and regenerative medicine. Recently, Ivan had an article published in Vet Times magazine regarding a fracture case he dealt with in a seven month old Springer Spaniel. In the article, Ivan talks through the process he went through in identifying and treating the fracture. Spaniel Hugo went on to make a full recovery.
Outside of work, Ivan enjoys learning other languages, reading books and is passionate about DIY and gardening.
