Introducing Park Vet Group’s advanced dentistry service targeted at providing patients with quality and individually tailored oral health care plans and treatment.

dental park vet group may25Oral and dental health plays a vital role in maintenance of a pet’s daily comfort as well as having an impact on the function and health of the rest of the body.

Periodontitis is an extremely common degenerative disease affecting the teeth and gums, and begins to develop in up to 80% of dogs and 70% of cats by the age of two years.

This disease can cause mouth discomfort, affect appetite and indirectly affect the function of other important body organs and the immune system.

Development and progression of periodontitis can by hugely decreased by maintaining good oral hygiene and identifying the signs early.

Similarly, teeth aren’t just made for eating - many of our pets rely on their teeth to communicate and interact with their owners through play, so dental preservation should always be a consideration.
